Hello Lovelies!

It’s finally here: spring has sprung and I am loving the warmer weather! However, every year I have the same predicament; being super pale. And as much as I would love to be able to just step into the sun and become tan, it just doesn’t happen that way.

Enter self tanner. JERGENS® Natural Glow Foaming Daily Moisturizer is a great product to start your tan out. I am about as pale as they come and this stuff worked great. I used the natural glow moisturizer for my body and the JERGENS® Natural Glow® FACE Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 20 for my face. Both worked so well together. And since the FACE moisturizer contains sunscreen, it’s a win, win. It’s great for incidental sun, but shouldn’t be used solely if you’re going to be out all day. Be sure to layer it with another sunscreen.

Over a period of four days, I actually built up a nice tan ( see the pictures above ). This stuff looks natural and goes on really smoothly. I’ve included a few tips for getting the perfect self tanner tan below.

1 | Exfoliate. This is pretty crucial when it comes to having smooth, even color. One the winter, our skin builds up a lot of dead cells. Take a brush or exfoliator pad and gentle scrub your legs while still in the shower. This will get rid of the dead skin cells and leave fresh skin for your self tanner.

2 | Moisturize. Ok, I know this stuff is moisturizer, but putting on lotion before you apply tanner really helps it to absorbs into the skin more evenly and produces better color.

3 | Make circles. When applying, use circular motions with your hands, instead of going up and down. This will eliminate streaks and give you all over coverage. Also, remember, when it comes to elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists, less is more. Applying a little more lotion in the areas keeps your tanner from building up here and looking too dark. Take whatever extra is left on your hands and rub it onto the areas mentioned above. This way, you still get some color, but it will look more natural.

4 | Wash. Wash your hands right away when you’re finished. Tanner tends to stain if left on an area for too long, so be sure to use soap and wash it off your palms.

I hope these were some helpful tips. If you want to check out all of JERGENS®  products, head on over to Walmart’s website. Self tanner is a great way to get tan without getting in the sun’s harmful rays. Let me know which products you’re looking forward to trying.
