With fall right around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to compile a list of one of my favorite staple items, jeans. I really don’t know how I would survive without this simple garment. They act as a neutral, can be dressed up or down, can be worn in any season, and are super comfortable. How could you not love them, am I right?
That being said, not all jeans are created equal. It’s taken me many moons to finally compile a collection of jeans that actually fit me correctly, are durable, and won’t break the bank. So, not in any particular order, here are my top 5 favorite jeans brands.
Pros: These jeans are extremely soft and flexible, almost like wearing structured jogging pants. They are so comfortable. And the legs have a great taper right down to the edge of your ankle, right above the top of your foot, so no extra fabric bunching up around your shoes.
Cons: They are a little bit pricey, but if you hit a sale, you can really get a great deal.
Pros: I like that these are distressed and the wash is light. I also love that the waist, even though it’s a mid rise, fits very snuggly.
Cons: The denim is very stiff, so make sure you get the jeans in your exact size, as there is really no give to the fabric at all. Also, the legs are a little bit too long for me, so I have to roll the hem up.
Pros: I actually bought the jegging version of these and its just like wearing jeans, only much stretchier and super comfortable. They taper down to right above my ankle, so great to wear with booties.
Cons: Since they come above my ankle, they look a little bit short with anything else, but if you like to show some ankle with your fall wear, then these are the guys for you.
Style: Emma Ankle Skinny-Curve Bkyk
Pros: These jeans are one of my most worn pairs I own. Literally tailored to fit. I’m not even joking and the funny thing is, I have never even heard of them before. I bought them second hand with the tags still on and they have been theist buy. Super comfy and the perfect leg length.
Cons: There actually aren’t any. These jeans are a great fit and super affordable.
Pros: Super soft, very nicely tailored leg, and a great versatile wash that can be dressed up or down. They look good cuffed or rolled down. The waist and hips fit very nicely with no gaps or bunching.
Cons: The fit varies from wash to wash, so sometimes it’s hard to know exactly what size you are.
And those are my top five favorites. Do you have a favorite brand or brands of jeans that are your go-to when you go shopping? Tell me about them in the comments.
