I hope everyone’s Monday went well. Thankfully, things were pretty quiet and calam with me.
So, how many times have you reached for a piece of jewelry to pair with your outfit, only to find it doesn’t match, feels too dressy, etc? I know I have. Sometimes, you just can’t mix and match things.
However, I really don’t like to not wear all my jewelry ( all five pieces of it LOL! Just kidding, just kidding ) and as someone who recently realized the importance of investing in nice pieces of jewelry that will last, I definitely don’t plan on letting my jewelry collect dust.
One of the things I wear a lot, when I’m not working, is jeans. And whatever jewelry I wear has to pair well with jeans. So, when I received this really fancy necklace from Violet and Brooks I knew I wasn’t going to get to wear it much unless I dressed it down.
So, above I paired it with my plaid tunic top ( which I am in love with by the way ) and a pair of jeans and sneakers. To balance the necklace out and not make it the focal point of the the outfit, I also wore a nice chunky, casual watch, with some intricate detailing. This way, the delicate, fancy necklace would blend more with the casualness of the outfit.
The beach setting was honestly just a fluke. I went to Coligny Beach with friends a week ago and it was honestly the nicest beach experience I have ever had. And it made an ideal photo spot, as there was so much space and so few people. However, in hind sight, I’m really glad I picked the spot the shoot, since the beach gave the outfit the perfect casual feel.
So, what about you? Do you like dressing down your jewelry?
