Its literally almost that time! I really can’t believe 2016 is almost over. So much has happened in this year and all of it has grown and changed me immensely. And speaking of growth and change, new blog name! Yes, I did it. I chose a new name again. But this time, I think it’s going to stick. I like what this says and I really think it describes what I want this blog to be about.
I chose my last blog name under the assumption I might make this blog into a business one day and I wanted to make sure I had a very universal brand name. Unfortunately, all my big plans didn’t really work out the way I wanted them to. Although my blog has grown in many ways, I don’t really see a major business happening from it just yet. ( However, that idea is still in the works and I’m still working towards it, though not as quickly as before.
That being said, I’m so ready for whatever 2017 has in store! I can’t wait to start making headway and taking this blog to the next level.
So, in honor of the approaching new year, I thought I would share some new years sparkle with you and some outfit inspiration. This is a tradition I started 2 years ago. You can see my previous posts here and here.
I decided to share my new years sparkle post a little bit differently this year. Instead of just showing an outfit or two, I thought I would style three different outfits with the same accessories.
1 | Layering.
This one was fun. I actually took my closet apart trying to find the perfect layer to go under the sparkly top I’m wearing. One of the easiest ways to look chic and be comfortable is to layer your outfits. It was really cold when I took these and I was not comfortable in just the outfit. I would add a jacket and puffer vest if you’re somewhere really cold.
2 | No tights.
Yes, its really cold this time of year, but now tights looks so much more chic and dressy, especially if you’re going to a party and your wearing a fancy dress. Heels are also a must. Fancy dresses die when you put flats with them. ( Just ignore my super pale skin. I’m rivaling casper in these photos. )
3 | Black and White.
Such a chic color combo. And honestly they don’t have to be worn together. All white or all black are perfect a chic new years look.
4 | Pop of color.
And going along with 3, adding a subtle pop of color is the perfect little statement to make. Break up an all black outfit with a gold bag, or a white ensemble with a red lip. Whatever you choose, keep it minimal. Its just a pop, not a blob.
What about you? What are your new years sparkle ideas for outfits?
