5 MINUTE BREAKFAST RECIPES WITH SILK YOGURT

Hello Lovelies!

For about a year now, I’ve been dairy free. I noticed last fall that every time I ate cheese or drank milk, I felt horrible. I won’t go into details, but suffice to say, dairy was not my friend.

So, I started looking for alternatives. You wouldn’t believe how many things there are out there to try. And I tried them all.

There was only one thing I couldn’t find a substitute for and that was yogurt. I loved yogurt as a kid, and really wanted to be able to eat it again.

So, when I got the chance to try out Silk Dairy-Free yogurt, I was ecstatic. It comes in four different flavors ( blueberry, strawberry, mango-peach, vanilla ) and is Non-GMO and gluten free. It’s made from soy beans and contains 6 grams of soy protein in each serving.

There is no cholesterol, artificial flavors or colors, and best of all, it has a wonderful, smooth, creamy texture. It really isn’t any different tasting than regular yogurt ( except to me it’s better ). You can find it in the dairy aisle at your local Walmart.

Below, I’ve included some 5 minute or less recipes for quick breakfasts that are delicious and nutritious!

Nectarine & Granola Slices

What you will need:

  – Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt in Vanilla
  – 1 nectarine
  –  granola
  – ( optional ) honey or syrup




  Simply slice the nectarine into fourth and place a dollop of yogurt on top. Sprinkle with granola and you’re finished! A delicious treat in the morning. If your nectarine is a little under ripe, your can add a little honey or syrup to sweeten it. 





 

 

Banana Mango Chocolate Smoothie

 

What you will need:


  – Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt in Peach-Mango
  – 1 frozen banana ( slightly thawed and sliced for easier blending )
  – 1 cup of frozen mango chunks
  – 1 cup chocolate dairy free milk ( or regular if you prefer )




  Place all ingredient in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour and enjoy!



 

  Blueberry Yogurt Parfait

What you will need:


  – Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt in Blueberry
  – granola


  Layer yogurt and granola in a glass and your done!
