Hello Lovelies!

Contrary to what it looks like, the day I took these was extremely warm. It’s stubbornly staying hot here. I’m really thinking of moving to Alaska.

I’ve done a couple of pattern missing posts in the past, and they’ve always been so much fun. Pattern mixing can seem really scary at first, but once you try it one time, you will hooked. There are so many possibilities.

With pattern mixing there are really only two rules:

1. Same color. This is a must with pattern mixing. When pairing two patterns, you need to find one color they have in common. For these two patterns, there is the distinct dark blue.

2. Different sizes. When mixing, pair a large pattern with a small one. Wearing two smalls or two larges just makes it a little bit overwhelming to look at. Different sizes gives the outfit balance and is easier on the eyes.

And that’s it! Super easy, right? Now go forth and mix!
